First Purported Battlefield Premium Details Deployed

DICE’s Battlefield Premium service, intended to compete directly with Activision’s Call of Duty Elite, won’t be available – if the rumors are true – until June 4th, one day before E3. DICE still hasn’t officially confirmed this thing yet, but for now we’ll assume it’s a done deal. That’s probably a good assumption, because the British and Danish CoolShop outlets have posted prices and details associated with Battlefield Premium, and so far they look legit.

The British price will be £34.99, while the Danish price will be €34.99. So, expect it to cost $34.99 in the US. In addition, the service will come with the following benefits:

* 20 Maps
* 20 New Weapons
* 10+ New Vehicles
* 4+ New Game Modes
* 30+ Assignments
* 20+ Dog Tags
* “Premium Benefits”; skins, camos, early access to all DLC.

Of course, until this is confirmed officially, take it with a grain of salt. I suppose we only need wait a few more days.

@Data Zero I actually hadn’t played it since December when Back to Karkand launched, but I played for about 10 minutes this past Saturday just to see if my new video card could handle BF3 with max settings on my 3 monitors (5040×1050). It did, very smoothly, I was pleased and then I closed the game and never looked back. I’ve been playing the betas of Heroes & Generals and Firefall for my online gaming fix instead.
