So, today's biggest headline news is that Steam Greenlight is now defunct and will switch over to Steam Direct next month.
Here are my thoughts.
=> No Middle Man.
=> No Voting => Direct to Market.
=> No Marketing Greenlight Campaign.
=> Recoupable Fee (You get fee back).
=> Recoupable Fee maybe set too High and will become a HUGE Barrier for indie developers.
=> You might start seeing, "Kickstarter for Steam Direct" Campaigns.
=> You might get large amounts of crappy indie games.
=> Sales is based on their Discovery Algorithm, and indie gems may or may not be highlighted due to algorithm.
