Free FTL: Advanced Edition Expansion Coming April 3

The massive update to indie space roguelike FTL: Faster Than Light is jumping to your PC sooner than you may have thought.

The FTL: Advanced Edition, which sees a number of gameplay tweaks and ton of new systems added to the acclaimed Kickstarted title, will be available to players on April 3, according to an update on the official FTL Twitter feed. It’s also due for release on iPad that same day.

The expansion will be free to players of the base version of FTL, which is available on Steam and GoG.com for $9.99. The expansion includes a lot of cool new stuff, like a new alien race (the Lanius), new systems and stations players can build (like the Clone Bay), and other changes that should drastically alter FTL as we know it.

You can more of what’s in the FTL: Advanced Edition here. Check back next week for our review of the expansion when it becomes available.
