Funcom Working On LEGO MMO Focused On Minifigs
Last year, Lego experienced huge success with their decision to start selling a line of collectable minifigurines, distinct from having to purchase specific playsets. The line quickly became the UK’s best-selling toy line, so it makes sense they’d want to keep the gravy train traveling the, er, gravy railroads, and so it goes that the inevitable video game-ization of the collectable minifigs has been announced. In a weird twist, it’s an MMO.
The MMO will be part of the already extant MiniFigurines online experience, with a focus on what the official announcement blandly calls “maximum accessibility,” which we take to mean more explosions, less actual thinking. (Come on, like there would be nudity in a Lego game, amirite?) Oh well, at least it’s not another Batman Lego game. Besides, if you want to actually be creative, you can always play Minecraft.
