GAME to Exit Administration, Saved by RBS; Reward Cards Re-Activated

British video game store chain GAME may be saved by the RBS-led bank consortium, and sources close to the negotiations believe the deal could be sealed as early at tomorrow, March 30th.

The good news doesn’t end there — GAME’s reward cards scheme has been reactivated by administrator PwC, as announced via Twitter. Users can once again redeem points on pre-owned stock, as well as earn them on every purchase.

The series of tweets read:

“Reward Card Update 1: Your Reward Cards have now been reactivated by the Administrators for redemption against pre-owned stock.”

“This means that points can be earned on all products AND redeemed against pre-owned items as of now.”

“This is only applies to Reward Cards only, at present moment.”

While gift cards are still suspended, the official account did inform consumers that they were “working on it.”
