GameCrush Now Open To Everyone
GameCrush, the hilarious service that lets people pay money to game with other people (mostly ladies), is now out of closed beta and has burst into the world for everyone to try. There are 6,000 “PlayDates” available, and you can play any game you want that both you and the “PlayDate” have. It cost’s $.60 per minute to take part.
GameCrush has also redesigned their website, and–
OK, I can’t do this. Look, I’m sure this will be a very successful venture for all involved, and I’m sure it will bring good times to many folks, including closet hardcore gamers and hardcore gamers who have no gamer friends and hardcore gamers who have no friends at all, but this is still funny. I mean, IGN says “some beta users” “spent up to $10k” on GameCrush. Richie Rich is real, apparently. The idea of $60 for an hour of gametime makes my head spin, but I can imagine, if you use the service frequently, the bill adding up.
Fun college analogy: using GameCrush is like going Greek in college, because both are examples of paying for friends. GameCrush is way better, though, because it won’t make you have sex with a donkey.
Anyway, check out GameCrush. It looks like good times.
