Just as the Allies begin to celebrate victory over the Soviets and the imprisoned Romanov, the scheming Yuri resurfaces and appears to be on the cusp of victory. Yuri has managed to piece together a network of psychic dominators that control the minds of the world’s citizens. The Allies gain a toehold when they manage to hold off Yuri in San Francisco long enough for Albert Einstein to send you back in time to stop Yuri in the past. If you play the Soviet campaign, you are sent back in time to not only stop Yuri, but to change the course of past events and restore Russia to its past glory.
With a common enemy in Yuri, Westwood has fully fleshed out Yuri’s army with the same style and depth given to the Allies and Soviet powers. Though none of the 14 included missions allow players to play as Yuri, his army is available for multiplayer and skirmish modes. Additionally, Westwood has included several new units for the Allies and Soviets that further balances gameplay.
