OnimushaEnhanced Hello everyone,
some weeks ago I was in the mood to play Onimusha 3 again. So I launched the game and was greeted by a shabby 800x600px window... I remembered all the problems about the game instantly and my anticipation was almost gone. Anyways, I checked the forums for a solution and found the hint to play it on a PS2 emulator. This moment I made the decision to mod the game. And now, some sleepless nights and weekends full of coding and researching later I'm ready to introduce you to the first release of "OnimushaEnhanced". Its still in alpha so expect bugs and maybe crashes.
How you play it without mod:
How you play it with mod:
- Dedicated launcher to start the game and change the config
- HD resolutions
- Start in fullscreen
- XInput support to allow the original PS2 button mapping
- Basic Rumble Support
- Change Window Resolution
- Borderless window mode
Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013[www.microsoft.com]
Install the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages
Download the zip-file and extract the contents to the Onimusha 3 root folder
Start OnimushaEnhanced.exe and choose your configs
Press the "Play"-Button to launch the game (Steam has to run already, otherwise the game will start without the mod after you logged in to steam).
You can't change the config in game for now. The resolution option is useless.
If you choose to play with XInput it will deactivate keyboard input.
The mod was tested with the european Onimusha 3 steam version.
XInput was tested with the original wired Xbox360® CONTROLLER.
You can still play the game without the mod by starting it over the original ONI3.exe.
Thank you Fleep for teaching me how to do this ♥♥♥♥. You are awesome! (https://www.youtube.com/user/L4DL4D2EUROPE/)
Thank you Lawrence for your great XInput tutorial (https://lcmccauley.wordpress.com/2014/01/05/gamepad-input-tutorial/)
And thanks to my gf for not killing me for coding like a mad man.
