Soldier of Fortune II follows up where the original installment finished off. Boasting one of the finest arsenals of weapons and various different usages in-game such as the always enjoyable akimbo styles this game has quickly become a favourite among the more trigger happy out that. Another positive is that generally you are fighting humans adding to a more enjoyable gaming experience. With such a fine game base available, it was not long before various modification authors turned their skills to hacking and enhancing this game even further! The result? Well some insanely fun and furiously paced modifications which have somehow managed to make this game even more gory than it was previously.

I wonder why no one has ever attempted to remake SoF1 in SoF2, it seems possible to do.

It would be a very tedious process and considering the very small modding community it does have, you can pretty much see why it won't be done.
It would be certainly great, but there would need a whole lot of time, you will have to add some characters and enemies from the original (fortunately some soldier types are pretty much updated versions of what you had in the original) add the inventory system of the original, put all the medpacks and grenades within that, doing all the maps including the scripts and all the weapons and the game will be done after a very long development process.
Really there is literally no chance, mostly considering that SoF 2 doesn't have any big mod or big campaign based mod.

I love playing with only grenades in the random missions since i like blowing people up.

This is barely scraping the surface of Random missions. Missions should be alot bigger than what we get, especially the randomly generated buildings. Along with randomly generated furniture to populate them with. Allow multiple objectives. Choose what weather conditions and whether there are innocent civilians you have to watch out for and add things like rivers and ponds.

The thing is that the random generator barely does any level design with a few paths here and there and put some premade buildings with enemies and items. it was nice at the time.
Also I think they limited the options in order to have something not that poorly designed.

I think ROTT had a better generator, but ROTT was also more basic and not real 3d which makes for corridors and no outsides like SoF had.

SoF 2 just had the idea of procedurally generated levels before many games of its time. but you know it's a bit like red faction and its destructible levels. they limited it a lot to avoid breaking the level design

It's a shame that there was never an expansion for this game.
