In Sword of the Stars 2, gamers will be reaquainted with the original six races from Swords of the Stars I and its expansions as well as reveal the dark secret of the original series, the Suul’ka – an ancient race that is responsible for tampering with the Liir, Zuul, and other races in the SotS universe! Not limited to another entire new race and their unique drive technology, SotS2 will be a major step forward in the SotS approach to 4X gameplay, taking the easy-to-learn-hard-to-master philosophy set out in SotS1 and following that path to a new standard in space strategy games.

It is completely different from the original and is difficult to figure out. A lot of people were turned off by everything.

It would not let me link it here, so it is on the Kerberos page.

For the hatters out there, I'll tell you this:

I've been a fan of the series since the first game during it's retail release back in '06. It was buggy. It was miserable, but by god when it clicked it ******* CLICKED. Then the expansions came in and made fixes to the problems.

I expected that sort of setup from the get go, and I wasn't surprised that the release was ******* poor. When it clicked, it was magnificent. When it went all buggy it, well, makes days miserable.

It will take a while but it will be awesome in the end. Hopefully mods will come soon. :D

look on google for "sword of the stars 2 large adress aware", it should be the second result in the list.
that doesnt solve all problems but it severely reduced loading times / UI lag for me and made the game actually playable on my pc.

Its good, but extremely buggy. Its kind of like a beta right now, and you might want to wait a while to buy it, or buy it and wait.
