Gamestop Hosting Halo: Reach Events on Friday Night
Do you love Halo? Do you live in the United States? If you said yes to those questions, then GameStop has just the thing for you this Friday, the 6th of August. That’s two days from now, all you shut-ins who don’t keep track of what day it is.
Alright, go here to find out if a Gamestop near you is doing this Halo: Reach preview event on Friday. If there isn’t one for you, then you should just go away and cry about not living in a civilized part of the US. If there is one for you, rejoice, because you have an actual opportunity to physically interact with human beings in a social setting.
Here’s the skinny, per the press release I just got: “Tom ‘Tsquared’ Taylor, professional gamer and team captain of Major
League Gaming’s Str8 Rippin, will be featured in a video presentation sharing never-before seen Halo: Reach tips and tricks, showcasing in-game footage, the new Firefight mode and lots of other great information only available through GameStop’s After Hours Event. Customers attending the After Hours Events will have the chance to win lots of great prizes.”
So what prizes, you’re wondering, can be won at this event? You could get a life-size statue of something Halo-related, or you could win a copy of the Legendary Edition of Reach that you’ll be able to pick up on launch day. Hmm, I think that’s legitimate motivation to go right thurr. Hmm.
This thing is happening as soon as these GameStop stores close, which is otherwise known as 9pm in whatever time zone you’re in, and it’ll got til 10:30, which leaves you plenty of time to do actual stuff afterward. Should be good times.
