GameStop VP Says PSP is Biggest Disappointment, Halo: Reach Biggest Surprise of 2010
GameStop something VP of something or other didn’t just sound off on Kinect v. Move to Eurogamer; He also has some words to say about he thinks, from his standpoint, is the biggest dud and what is the biggest surprise of the year to date. First up, in the dud category, is the PSP.
“I think Sony did a great job two years ago in terms of coming out with a pretty good line-up of PSP offerings, and I didn’t see that breadth of titles this year,” he said. This is true. I have played only two 2010 PSP titles so far, though I’ll probably get a third, Ghost of Sparta, by the end of the year. Anyway, I guess this means it’s a good thing that the PSP2 is allegedly coming out next year.
“Initially the pre-orders we saw were really showing us that it may not be the opportunity that everyone, including Microsoft, was presenting it to be,” McKenzie said. He then said they had to work hard to make sure everybody knew that Reach would not be “just half a game.” Hehe COUGH ODST COUGH. I’m glad that worked out, though, because Reach is the best Halo game, and it’s not only just because there’s no horrifically painful Flood level.
