Gearbox is Launching DLC for Duke Nukem Forever This Week

Ravenous deniers of reality Gearbox Software is rolling out what the video game public really wants on Tuesday — a DLC pack for Duke Nukem Forever. You know, that game that was almost universally panned (except by our Phil Owen) and then dropped to bargain bin prices within a month of its release.

The DLC is called The Doctor Who Cloned Me, and includes a scenario in Area 51 in which a mad scientist clones Duke Nukem a bunch, and then Duke has to go kill all the clones. Although, are they evil clones? Because why would you kill all those spare Duke Nukems? Put them in rockets and send them to go clean up the universe.

There’s also new multiplayer content in the DLC pack. Four new maps, in fact: Sky High, Command, Drop Zone and Biohazard. So…great.

Gearbox hasn’t listed prices for the DLC just yet — guess we’ll have to wait till tomorrow to find out.

I think this Duke hate has gone on so long that it’s actually become funny. Oh wait, no it hasn’t. Sorry, Phil.

Luckily, Geoff, I laughed. So we’re good.
