Gearbox: People Will Be Surprised by Brothers in Arms Furious 4

WW2 shooter Brothers in Arms Furious 4 still exists and has evolved in a surprising way.

Speaking to CVG, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford said development on the game is “going great” and expects people to be surprised by the different track it has taken.

Pitchford said:

“The game has evolved, I think people are going to be surprised by what they’ll see, and it’s still evolving. One of the reasons why we’re not talking about it now is that it’s evolving and we need to make further changes before we can start talking about it.”

Furious 4 was first revealed at E3 in June 2011, but news on the project has been scant since, leading some to question whether the game was being shelved. In May, it was discovered that Ubisoft and Gearbox’s joint trademark application for the game had been rejected, which felt to some like the nail final nail in the coffin for the title. In light of Pitchford’s comments, it seems report of the game’s death were an exaggeration.

I always liked BiA for it’s realism and serious, sentimental if you may, approach to a really repeated theme… this looks retarded.
If you want to make a funny WWII game, whatever, but why call it Brothers in Arms? I don’t get it, it has nothing to do with the saga.
