Gearbox Trolls With Borderlands 2 Konami Code Easter Egg

The number of Borderlands 2 easter eggs is kind of shocking. Clearly, Gearbox set out to fill the game with as many shout outs as they could fit in before it went gold, and the latest is a nod to the olden days of yore with a Konami Code egg tucked in at the main menu.

Here’s how it works: at the main title screen, input Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B (crouch for PC and PS3 gamers), A (jump button for PC and PS3 gamers), Start. If you input correctly, you’ll see a new option on the menu, like so:

As you can see, it apparently does nothing, but we’re theorizing that there’s more to this, it simply hasn’t been discovered yet. Wub wub is, of course, the best summation of the sound of dubstep and makes an appearance when Claptrap starts composing his own dubstep music. Then again, maybe Gearbox is just trolling us. Now, has anyone found a rickroll?
