Thanks, this article does nothing.
At least list what the various medals you need require(Bronze Tour Of Duty = Beat campaign on normal or less).

On September 23, 2011 at 10:58 pm

Actually, this article helped me, on the mutators page for arcade mode it doesn’t tell me how to unlock them. So thanks.

some of these are ridiculous. I have over 30 days logged in gears 2 and I still don’t think I will ever get some of these.

On September 25, 2011 at 12:55 am

Kevin you stick, if I wanted to know how to get a medal in gears of war 3, i’d go to a site that tells me how to get medals…not mutators. Get a haircut.

Nice list. Just a note that you can get the medals for Versus in Private matches against bots. Makes it SO much easier.

This was rather helpful, as it clarifies not only the prerequisite ribbons/medals, but also what must be done to complete those tasks. Thanks a bunch.

lets see while helpfull does not explain the combat engineer situation where u cant get the medal n back to back waves thus very fuking un helpful whenit comes to gliches and what not and besides this is also just a recreation of the fuking in game menu so u did absoultley nothing more than copy it over to fill space on ur site con grats for being yet another usless web site for one of the greatest games ever

wow to kevin and ninja up there, this list is better then what the book and the game tells you. very helpfull. oh and ninja no where on this page does it say anything about glitches or how to glitch and if your trying to look up glitchs you might as well break your dis in half and shove it wehre the sun dont shine. and these mutators make the game interesting, challenging and fun and i for one believe its a great addition to it. ya fighting against players is fun but some times you just wanna reak havoc with a real challenge. oh and the fact that you bothered to post a troll letter in a site that you deemed useless just shows how much of a philistine you are.

Thank you I for onw found this very interesting and insightful, so to kevin if it says get the bronze tour of duty medal surely you should look at the stats and awards page and go to medals and see how to unlock it. Use your time doing something more constructive rather than down pouring hate on someone you dont know and will never meet for not giving you the smallest amount of information that you can find yourself in less than 30 seconds, I know this as I have just done it.
And to ninja this is not actually a copy of the game menu as in the game menu it gives you a description on what it is not a description on how to unlock, so my advice to you would be not to abuse others on the internet as all he/she has done is tried too help us and all you can do is critise him/her for it. Think.
Thanks again very helpful :)

Bronze Master-at-arms is 100 kills for each of the 5 weapons, not 300 as stated in the guide.

Lol, what the hell Kevin? you said, and I quote,
“At least list what the various medals you need require(Bronze Tour Of Duty = Beat campaign on normal or less).”
The article said, and I quote,
“Unlock Tour of Duty by completing the Campaign mode on casual.”
Of course an article isn’t going to help you if you don’t bother to read it.

This is helpful, but damn! You sure do have to do a lot just to unlock 1 mutator! I don’t even play that much and honestly don’t think I will spend all those hours to get these. I think they went overboard a tad bit on the amount you have to do to unlock them. I think, in my opinion, they did this so people will play the game longer, cause you know how there are those types out there that go for the game score. Unfortunately, that’s not me.

Brad

On October 8, 2011 at 2:29 pm

the one for super reload is incorrect. you only have to get 100 kills with each of the 5 start weapons

badass

On October 9, 2011 at 11:47 am

the guide stated and i quote: “Unlock this medal by scoring 100 kills with all five of the starting primary and secondary weapons.” it didnt say anythin bout 300+ kills……read a lil slower dudes…and to me this was very helpful but it kinda sucks that one has to do so much for a single mutator…..but what can we do huh?? thx dude!!!!!! :)

I thought this article was helpful… I do like the idea of a game needing more extra work.. While labour intensive makes it all the more sweeter when u get them…

I have lost all of my stuff on Gears of War 3 minus my achievements and I am trying to gain it all back. One problem…it won’t let me get the (FOR THE HORDE) medal. Can anyone tell me why? Also, underneath my fortifications medal, I have a number two underneath it. Can anyone tell me what it means? The way I lost all my stats is because one day I logged into xbox live and my internet was acting up and so I was only signed into my gamertag and NOT on xbox live and all of a sudden it told me that I earned stuff that I already unlocked from the beta. I looked at my level and it was glitched from a lvl 62 or 63 all the way down to a lvl 1 and I looked in my medals and ribbons section and all of that was gone. Even my executions that I had to do was taken. Can ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE?!!

Thanks man, just what I was looking for. Hate the fact they(games) show you what you can unlock, but never tell you what to do to earn it… For all those posting BS, get a clue, sometimes its best to keep your mouth shut and be thought and idiot, than open your mouth and PROVE IT!… this is not a glitch, hack, or moding. This list is a “how to” mothing more, nothing less.

@ kevin if you read this you are a complete idoit in the game shows no indication of what u need the least you can do is a little more research so stop commenting and hating on others thank you and this was very helpful

For unlimited ammo we came up with an easy way to get it
1st find a friend.
2nd play on horde pricier with just your friend
3rd before finding a command crntre give the other person your money
4th on mercy works best, buy the cmmnd post in the chappell
5th once you by the command post run buy the turret your friend shoots it while you fix it, then once you get the ribbon give them your money and switch places.
6th win the match!
7th loose the next match
8th repeat steps 5-8 till it gets difficult
If you loose on a wave you must win repeat step 5
I usually restarted after wave 11 so I know how meny I got
Any ? Ask burned_ya@hotmail.com

Thanks for posting this, I’m loving the game and enjoy being able to tweak some of the options.

I’m trying to work through the campaign on arcade insane before December to unlock the weapon skin, if anyone wants to jump in my gamertag is “parkinator” if adding make sure to mention its for gears.

steve

On December 3, 2011 at 10:00 pm

for the super reload, you mean 100 kills total or 100 per weapon?

Jessica

On December 7, 2011 at 11:43 pm

This helped me and my friend although he complained about it taking him a while to complete.

leon

On December 8, 2011 at 8:25 am

if you actually read the stats & awards it is on the page where you find out what characters you unlock and it tells you there so he technically has just copied what the game say. no hard work what so ever!

leon

On December 8, 2011 at 8:27 am

btw its 100 per weapon (i.e. 100 lancer kills, 100 retro lancer kills, 100 hammerburst kills, 100 gnasher shotgun kills, and 100 sawed-off shotgun kills.)

okey great.
i know what to do now.
play gow3 for 405342 days straight 18 hours a day to get about a third of the mutations.
who the came up with the idea of collecting 500,000 tokens.
or completing 1000 waves.
that’s bull .

jackalista

On January 5, 2012 at 4:28 pm

thanks for telling me exactly how many times i need to do a wave. Can’t really contemplate doing 1000! but the comet one you only need to do 300 because its 2star not 3 :)
