Gears of War Achievements to Unlock GoW2 Content, Collector's Edition Revealed

Cliff Bleszinski announced that Gears of War 2 will use linked achievements at Comic Con 2008 in San Diego. For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, achievements from GoW will unlock GoW2 content. Here are the particulars courtesy of Xbox360Fanboy.

  • Unlocking the “Completed Act 1″ achievement in GoW unlocks Anthony Carmine in GoW2 multiplayer.
  • Unlocking the “A Dish Best Served Cold” achievement in GoW unlocks General RAAM in GoW2 multiplayer.
  • Unlocking the “Time to Remember” achievement in GoW unlocks Minh Young Kim in GoW2 multiplayer.

The contents of the $130 “Collectors Edition” of Gears of War 2 was also announced. For this astounding fee, gamers will get a scaled down model of the Lancer.

that cool but i wonder about the pc version of gears some of my buddy’s own the pc version so i wonder if it will work with there saves probably not but it still would be cool.

Zaruka, I don;t believe GOW2 has been announced for PC yet, so at this point the answer would be no love for the PC.

Epic hate the pc right now, despite all the games in the 90′s where on the pc and they have a very large community producing mods and maps.

For $130 I would want a working Lancer :razz: GOW2 has a LOT to live up to after Epic setting such a high standard last time.

Screw the pc, first of all computers are very fragile and expensive, and you constantly need to spend money to upgrade them. I ing love my 360, GTA 4 and Gears of War are my only games and I couldn’t be happier.
