Yes, you read the title right. Providing you have the credit score to get approved for a Sony VISA, and then purchase a Sony HDTV from the Sony Rewards Store before December 31st – they will throw in a free PS3. Granted, you will have to read the fine print to make sure you actually qualify for the deal – but if you were in the market for an HDTV anyway, and have yet to purchase a PS3 this may be the deal you are looking for. To apply for the VISA, click here – and if any of our readers out there actually go through with this, drop us a line and let us know how it panned out for you.

I did the deal a while ago where you apply for the card and get $100 credit on your card with your first purchase. Bought a 40GB PS3 for $300 that way.

Sony Bravias are some of the best TV’s on sale.

@Iku Tri: The XBR4 is an amazing LCD set. If it were available in a 57-60″ I would have one right now. The W3000 is pretty decent also, about the only thing it is missing when compared to the XBR4 is the 120 refresh rate.

At the moment I’ve got a 32″ Toshiba LCD but it only does 720p & 1080i so I will be getting a new TV next year for 1080p and it will almost definitely be one of the new Bravia range.

I want this one but its slightly out of my price range at the moment

Norbit – I want one of those too, hell I would be happy with any flat screen. My Toshiba is only 3 years old, and a 32″ but it is one of the old fat heavy ones. Hopefully next year I can get a thin one.

I’ll tell you.. I have a 46″ Sony HDTV in the main room and I’d probably never buy another one. It’s such a pain in the ass to hook-up any non-Sony HDMI devices. I even gave up on trying to hook up my 360 via HDMI. I have another 50 ” JVC in the basement and 2 small televisions in the house and all of them you just plug in the HDMI and it works with no problems. I dunno.. the Bravia is a great TV.. it just sucks hooking things up to it and getting them to actually work. I’ve never had that problem with other brands.

What model do you have because that sounds a bit weird to say the least?

I do know that the plastic on some non Sony HDMI cables is too big and it prevents the cable from connecting properly on some Sony sets.
