GF Podcast 36: Twitch Changes, Assassin’s Creed, & Fall 2014

The world of streaming got a major shakeup earlier this week when Twitch rolled out some major changes to its service.

First, the streaming service removed “archive forever” as an option. Then, they implemented a system that would scan archived content for copyright music and mute half-hour chunks of said videos if a match was found.

In other news, Ubisoft announced another Assassin’s Creed game for this fall that will release only on last-gen consoles. Also, Gamescom has announced their best of Gamescom nominees a week before the show kicks off, which has us confused.

Finally, we talk about Mitch’s best games of the 90s, and also the games that are left in the rest of 2014 now that so many have been delayed. You might be surprised to hear what some of our most anticipated titles are.

Tune in to hear our thoughts on all of this, and to find out what Mitch and James think the future of Twitch will hold. If you’ve got comments, suggestions or hatemail, please feel free to direct it all to podcast@gamefront.com. You can also find links for everything we discuss below.
