Goat Simulator Adding “Local Splitscreen Multiplayer”

Goat Simulator’s will be adding new features with a patch this May.

Coffee Stain Studios, the developer behind the game, revealed this news in a recent Facebook posting where it also confirmed that it won’t be selling DLC for the title.

“A lot of you have been asking for DLCs for Goat Simulator,” said the post. “However, we wanted to do a free update instead, because goats don’t like to charge for new content.”

The free update will be a patch that, in total, adds “a whole new playable map” that will be “roughly the size of the original map.” The patch will also include “local splitscreen multiplayer, new achievements, new goats, and more.”

Goat Simulator itself released earlier this month to somewhat tepid reviews from critics. Nonetheless, the game’s concept alone has won it its fair share of fans who will likely be made quite happy by these recent revelations.
