God of War: Ascension – Gorgon’s Eyes Locations Guide

Gorgon Eyes return in God of War: Ascension and they continue to upgrade your health meter, and we’ll show you how to find all of them. Luckily, Kratos won’t need to find every single eye to fully increase his health, but he’ll need most of them. You’ll need to scour every alternate path and dead-end alcove to get them all, or just use this guide. Get step-by-step instructions on how to find each of the items below.

Gorgon Eyes Locations Guide

Note: Only 20 Gorgon’s Eyes are required to unlock the trophy and fully upgrade Kratos’ health.

Gorgon’s Eye #1:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • Taking the narrow rock path, you’ll enter another section of the village. The path splits, either going forward or exploring right.
    • Turn right at the club and follow the path to find two white chests. One contains a Gorgon Eye.

Gorgon’s Eye #2:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • Continuing forward, Kratos will reach another area that splits forward and left, marked by a large wooden wheel.
    • Continue forward through the arched doorway and turn right to find a lever. Pass the crank and check out the back corner to find a hidden chest.

Gorgon’s Eye #3:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • Passing by dead cattle and jumping down into another section of the village from a fallen wooden bridge, immediately look into the background for a small building built into the rock with a ledge Kratos can climb onto. On the roof, there’s a red and white chest.

Gorgon’s Eye #4:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • After pulling down a pillar, the camera will focus on a door flanked by two feathered statues. Instead of climbing up, back into the foreground and check right for an open door.
    • Further right is an open building. Just through the windows, you’ll be able to spot a red and white chest.

Gorgon’s Eye #5:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • After collecting the previous eye, leave the building and continue down the path right.
    • You’ll find a bridge, cross it into the lit interior and return to the roller puzzle.
    • Pull the back left and back right switches in the center to reveal the platforms, then climb them to find two white chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #6:

  • Level: Chapter 6 – The Cistern
  • Location:
    • In the large room with the huge bull head statue, climb up the ledges to get back onto the duct above. Run into the foreground to find an alcove with a white chest and two red chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #7:

  • Level: Chapter 6 – The Cistern
  • Location:
    • Found right on the main path, just right of a health and magic chest just as Kratos steps into an exterior area.

Gorgon’s Eye #8:

  • Level: Chapter 7 – The Tower of Delphi
  • Location:
    • On the tower exterior, Kratos will find a ladder leading upward on the bottom rung. Run past the ladder and continue left to find chests, one of which contains an eye.

Gorgon’s Eye #9:

  • Level: Chapter 7 – The Tower of Delphi
  • Location:
    • Climbing the massive snakes, Kratos will eventually cross an oepning in the snake up. Pull up and loot the red and white chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #10:

  • Level: Chapter 8 – The Python’s Belly
  • Location:
    • At the very start of the chapter, back up into the foreground and to the right, following the snake where Kratos came to find two hidden chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #11:

  • Level: Chapter 10 – The Temple of Delphi
  • Location:
    • Entering the large temple chamber, with steps leading up to two white statues, use the shimmering device on the left to revert the room into a decayed state.
    • While decayed, cross the room and attack the double doors on the right to find two white chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #12:

  • Level: Chapter 10 – The Temple of Delphi
  • Location:
    • In the darkened chamber with two sets of stairs on the left and right, take the right path up the stairs and follow the winding path to another set of steps.
    • Up the steps, turn into the open door on the right. Push the statue in the center right, then decay the room. Jump onto the new platform that forms, then hope into the caged room in the background to find two white chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #13:

  • Level: Chapter 10 – The Temple of Delphi
  • Location:
    • Back at the start with the two steps to the right and left. Take the left path, this time.
    • Up the stairs, enter the room to the left. Push the statue onto the panel in the center, decay the room, then push the statue off the panel and run at the door. For a split second the cages in the background will open after the decay wears off.

Gorgon’s Eye #14:

  • Level: Chapter 11 – Delphi Catacombs
  • Location:
    • After Kratos’ moving platform falls from its chains and you crash through the doors, back up into the foreground instead of continuing forward.

Gorgon’s Eye #15:

  • Level: Chapter 14 – The Cistern
  • Location:
    • On the main path, this chest can be seen far in the background down the water pathway. Don’t miss it by jumping down, continue down the water to collect this eye.

Gorgon’s Eye #16:

  • Level: Chapter 15 – The Grotto
  • Location:
    • In the watery chamber under a waterfall, dive under but don’t swim forward. Instead, swim to the right to find a hidden path leading to two white chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #17:

  • Level: Chapter 15 – The Grotto
  • Location:
    • At the cavern dock, just as you step onto the stone pathway run left all the way to a gated building with two white chests, left of the ship that’s immediately in view.

Gorgon’s Eye #18:

  • Level: Chapter 17 – Martyr’s Chamber
  • Location:
    • In the puzzle room, after dumping the body onto a plate that raises a caged platform allowing Kratos to continue left to a door with two chests. Don’t run down the main path, instead run into the foreground to find the hidden white chest to the right of the two easily visible chests.

Gorgon’s Eye #19:

  • Level: Chapter 18 – Delo’s Landing
  • Location:
    • In the room with the massive chains and gears, pull the lever on the right before pushing the large blockage into the gear to stop it on the left.
    • Once the gear stops, climb the fins to reach a high ledge out of camera’s view to find a white chest.

Gorgon’s Eye #20:

  • Level: Chapter 21 – The Forearm of Apollo
  • Location:
    • At the start, take the lift up and run into the foreground after stepping off the elevator. Jump onto an unseen high ledge to find three chests.

Trophy Unlocked

  • The Eyes Have It (Gold):
    Collect all the Gorgon Eyes.

not exactly sure where i found it but by the time i got the eye in delo’s landing i had gotten the trophy, so you are missing at least one somewhere

I’m missing probably quite a few, but while playing, we discovered you don’t actually need every eye to get the trophy.

I tried to find them all, but most people seem to really only care about the trophy, all you get for finding the rest are extra red orbs. While that’s cool, it’s probably not worth hunting the rest down.
