God of War: Ascension – Phoenix Feathers Locations Guide

The Phoenix Feathers are back in God of War: Ascension, and just like in previous entries to the franchise, finding a set amount will increase Kratos’ magic meter. Basically, the more feathers the Ghost of Sparta uncovers in secret chests and hidden hideaways, the more he’ll be able to unleash devastating magic attacks. Players won’t need every feather to fully upgrade their amount of magic, but you’ll need more of them. Check out the list below for some insight into finding these hidden collectible items.

Break Kratos’ oath, learn the best strategies for fighting tough enemies and titanic bosses with Game Front’s God of War: Ascension walkthrough. For more trophy guides, secrets, easter eggs and more check out the list of God of War: Ascension cheats.

Phoenix Feather #1:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • Taking the narrow rock path, you’ll enter another section of the village. The path splits, either going forward or exploring right.
    • Turn right at the lever and follow the path to a moveable cage. Jump onto it and into the building on the right to find two white chests.

Phoenix Feather #2:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • Further in the chapter, you’ll find another similar split marked by a large wooden wheel. Check out the path through the houses on the right.
    • Jump onto the cage and into the building on the right, containing an artifact and a white chest.

Phoenix Feather #3:

  • Level: Chapter 5 – The Village of Kirra
  • Location:
    • At the section below a destroyed bridge, jump down the path and explore right.
    • You’ll find an intact bridge, cross it into the lit interior and return to the roller puzzle.
    • Pull the back left and back right switches in the center to reveal the platforms, then climb them to find two white chests.

Phoenix Feather #4:

  • Level: Chapter 7 – The Tower of Delphi
  • Location:
    • After activating one of the electric prongs of the tower, Kratos will re-enter the interior from a ladder. Look down the snake ramp to find this white chest.

Phoenix Feather #5:

  • Level: Chapter 8 – The Python’s Belly
  • Location:
    • Inside the large section of the ruined python, after reaching the exterior “roof” of the construct turn around and climb onto the ledge closer to the foreground to find some hidden chests.

Phoenix Feather #6:

  • Level: Chapter 10 – The Temple of Delphi
  • Location:
    • Entering the large temple chamber, with steps leading up to two white statues, use the shimmering device on the left to revert the room into a decayed state.
    • While decayed, cross the room and attack the double doors on the right to find two white chests.

Phoenix Feather #7:

  • Level: Chapter 10 – The Temple of Delphi
  • Location:
    • In the darkened chamber with two sets of stairs on the left and right, take the right path up the stairs and follow the winding path to another set of steps.
    • Up the steps, turn into the open door on the right. Push the statue in the center right, then decay the room. Jump onto the new platform that forms, then hope into the caged room in the background to find two white chests.

Phoenix Feather #8:

  • Level: Chapter 10 – The Temple of Delphi
  • Location:
    • Back at the start with the two steps to the right and left. Take the left path, this time.
    • Up the stairs, enter the room to the left. Push the statue onto the panel in the center, decay the room, then push the statue off the panel and run at the door. For a split second the cages in the background will open after the decay wears off.

Phoenix Feather #9:

  • Level: Chapter 11 – Delphi Catacombs
  • Location:
    • After Kratos’ moving platform falls from its chains and you crash through the doors, back up into the foreground instead of continuing forward.

Phoenix Feather #10:

  • Level: Chapter 11 – Delphi Catacombs
  • Location:
    • At the base of the large snake-emblazoned room with two large statues holding an hourglass, move the statue onto the pressure pad located closer to the right foreground from the camera’s perspective.
    • When in place, run to the door at the back left of the room to find several chests.

Phoenix Feather #11:

  • Level: Chapter 13 – The Passage of Delphi
  • Location:
    • In the passage, Kratos will need to jump onto a rocky ledge and climb up. To the right there appears to be a sheer surface, but actually there’s a hidden area.
    • Just as you jump onto the first ledge, shimmy right instead of jumping upward and the camera will reorient to reveal the secret path. The white chest is inside.

Phoenix Feather #12:

  • Level: Chapter 15 – The Grotto
  • Location:
    • Once again at the beginning of a swimming section below a waterfall, Kratos can dive down to find a path forward marked by a crack lit up by lava.
    • Instead of going forward, turn right to find a hidden pathway leading up into a room with two white chests.

Phoenix Feather #13:

  • Level: Chapter 15 – The Grotto
  • Location:
    • Entering the cave docks, check out the left side of the area, further left of the boat. There are two white chests near a stone structure’s closed gate.

Phoenix Feather #14:

  • Level: Chapter 16 – The Prison of the Damned
  • Location:
    • Entering the prison through a huge arched gateway flanked by chains, follow the path forward. It appears to turn only right, but there’s a hidden alcove left of the turn.

Phoenix Feather #15:

  • Level: Chapter 18 – Delo’s Landing
  • Location:
    • Passing through the scaffolding and reaching the landing where the massive statue foot is located, follow the path by the toes left and jump onto the wooden construction left of the interior entrance to find a white chest in the foreground.
