Google Chrome Games To Have Gamepad Support
The Google Chrome platform is a burgeoning little place for games right now, but it’s going to get even better soon with support for plug-and-play gamepads, revealed Google’s Paul Kinlan at Develop Liverpool. That a pretty great development for the platform, as it’ll allow for better control in certain types of games. After all, even the most hardcore of PC gamers would agree that a mouse and keyboard isn’t the best control scheme for every game.
But that’s not all the update, which will launch in Q1 2012, will have in store. It’ll also allow for microphones and cameras without plug-ins and, maybe, augmented reality stuff and player tracking.
That all makes for a pretty beefy update, and something that could mean great things for the platform. I look forward to seeing what folks do with this.
