Grab Brink’s Agents of Change DLC Pack Free Today

The first downloadable content package for the somewhat-lag-besieged Brink is now online, and it’s available for free for the next two weeks.

The content pack is called Agents of Change, and it includes two new “districts” (maps) to play through in the game: an underwater facility called the Labs, and a residential area where the game’s rich elitist Founders live. There are also new outfits (hooray) and new weapons mods (actual hooray) for additional customization.

The DLC is available on Steam, Xbox Live and the Playstation Network today for free. That’s part of Splash Damage and Bethesda’s way of saying “our bad” about the game being laggy to the point of unplayable at launch. But you’ll need to snag the DLC now, because in two weeks it goes up to its regular $9.99 price.

Oh, and Steam users — you can play Brink in its entirety for free on Steam this weekend. It’s also down to half price — $25.

I haven’t been able to get the maps from the DLC to work though I do have the new weapon attachments, abilities, and clothes.

That’s weird, Kyle. I read you needed to submit to a title update in order for the DLC to work — could that be the issue?

How so? I’m using Steam and it acted like I was good to go.

No idea. I just read that in regards to the Xbox version. Doesn’t sound like it’d be your problem either way, but it was the only piece of information I’d heard so far. Time to contact Steam Support, I guess.

Just downloaded the f2p weekend thing of Brink. Ermmm, I’m pretty glad I didn’t pick it up at launch.
