Grand Theft Auto V Trailer Receives Live Action Fan Remake

A Spanish film group has released a live action remake of Grand Theft Auto V’s original trailer.

The video, dubbed Grand Theft Auto: Marid by its creators, is a product of the filmmakers Zapruder Pictures. The video itself is a fairly meticulous recreation of the game’s 2012 trailer that incorporates accurate clothing, camera angles and even recreates car crashed and helicopter chases with CGI. In fact, the only real differences come from the use of real world Madrid locations in the place of the fictional locales of San Andreas. Rockstar, upon, learning of the trailer remake, described it as in a Tweet as being “awesome.”

Grand Theft Auto: Madrid represents just the latest of several game-centric videos that Zapruder has produced. Previously, the group has also out a Call of Duty short as well as a video based in the world of Max Payne. To check out those videos and more you can head to the groups YouTube channel.
