Great Scott! Infinite Crisis Hits Open Beta in March

Turbine’s DC MOBA, Infinite Crisis, will open its doors to all on March 14.

The studio made the announcement at a press event this week. Officially, Infinite Crisis will be in open beta, but you’ll be able to buy skins and heroes, so it’s the next best thing to launch. And when the gates to the Hall of Justice are unlocked, it will feature three new characters: Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Mecha Superman.

That brings the total number of playable heroes and villains to 27, and that’s a number that will steadily grow over time. Turbine said it intends to launch new characters every three weeks as well as new skins for existing characters on a weekly basis.

I’ve been in the closed beta for Infinite Crisis since last summer, and if you’re a MOBA fan, you should definitely take it for a spin. It checks all the MOBA boxes while adding destructible environments and some fun new modes. The big seller, though, is getting to play as the DC characters you know and love. I’m particularly interested in trying out Green Arrow and Aquaman. See how their powers are transformed into MOBA abilities in the trailers below:

i dont have high expectations for yet another moba from a studio that just laid off 1/4 – 1/3 of its workforce and has put its other 3 games into maintenance mode.

turbine is gasping its last breath as wb slowly winds them down and folds their IPs into other studios
