GRID Demo Now Up – No Problems Reported So Far

Despite the issues reported with the first GRID demo released for the PC, Codemasters has fixed all blackouts and has submitted a new demo that is glitch free. You can get it by clicking on the badge below.

The Race Driver: GRID demo offers 3 events to compete in. The eBay Motors Muscle Cup sees you taking the wheel of a Ford Mustang GT-R and the streets of San Francisco, the Advan International Trophy hands you a Nissan S15 Silvia and your playground is Yokohama Docks, and the Euro Touring Car Series provides some old-school tin-top thrills with a BMW 320si touring car and the sweeping curves and hairpins of Jarama.

Bull about the blackouts. I can’t play this game at 1600×1200, the screen goes black every time I try to race!!!!!

You guys are in morons. This game kicks ass.

Let me just say that this demo alone is better than all the racing games I have ever played. The drift mode in this game is absolutely perfect. I’m sorry you little boys don’t know anything about how a real car works but this game has got it nailed down to a tee. Don’t listen to them… download the demo and prepare to be blown away.

Also, I haven’t had any problems with my game. Running Ultra Settings at 1680×1050 & 4xFSAA @ 40+ FPS.

The only glitch that I have noticed is when you do an instant replay, the first couple of seconds of the replay will be full black screen but then it comes back, but you can just rewind it to get back those couple of seconds of the replay. Plus, its just the demo. Don’t judge the final game based on this. Hell, I’m defiantly buying this one because the demo is great.

Great job Codemasters. I am very pleased so far.

This version is just as buggy as the previous version. It doesn’t say much for the game when the developer can’t even put out a 100% working demo.

Sure it takes a little longer to crash out but it still does it, at any point in time during gameplay, the game will just close and return me to my desktop.

It looks great plays great, but god damn Codemasters you’d need to beat the bugs out.

Even with the bugs it’s obviously going to be a kick ass game, I just hope they can touch it up around the edges.
