GT5 Prologue Demo Free Download Oct 24th
It seems the removal of the free Gran Turismo HD Concept from the Playstation Store recently is not without merit. According to GT Channel, Sony has just revealed that a Gran Turismo 5 Prologue Demo will be released to the public as a “free” downloadable demo on October 24th.
Of course, Japan will get dibs on GT5 Prologue shortly after its unveiling on October 24th. Europe is still scheduled for a December 13th release date while the U.S. release is still out in the cold. GT5 Prologue is, of course, a PS3 exclusive title.
Now, what I’m interested in is actually seeing if these superb graphics actually live up to the hype. We’ve seen videos and screenshots of this game (from Sony, no less) that are just mind-blowing. If a single PS3 is truly rendering this stuff in real-time, I will be seriously impressed. The precursor GT HD Concept was pretty lame by my standards. Let me be blunt, Forza 2 made it look and feel pathetic. I really want to see the GT5 Prologue Demo with my own eyes. If the graphics live up to the hype, it may very well change my opinion (and others) on PS3 capabilities. Car handling in GT5 Prologue? Let’s get past the graphical doubt first.
You can find all sorts of screenshot of GT5 Prologue here.
