GTX 660 and 650 Launch, Priced $229 and $159

Nvidia has launched its new Kepler chip-based graphics cards, the GeForce GTX 660 and GeForce GTX 650, priced respectively at $229 and $159.

Nvidia claims the GTX 660 will be between 5% and 44% faster than an equivalently priced Radeon HD7850, and Anandtech seems to agree after having reviewed the card. While Anandtech does not believe it’s worth upgrading from a 560Ti, they claim it is “unquestionably a meaningful upgrade to an aging Fermi card.”

The GTX 650 is essentially an overclocked GTX 640, but these options are far more enticing to the wallet than, say, NVIDIA’s GTX 690, which weighed in at an incredible $1000.

Will you consider purchasing the 660 or 650?
