Guerrilla’s Arjan Brussee To Join Visceral Games

After an 8 year stint that saw the Killzone series through several incarnations (including last year’s Killzone 3), Guerrilla Games co-founder Arjan Brussee has resigned in order to become an executive producer at Visceral Games. Brussee broke the news to Guerrilla employees in an email acquired by Control Online. “At some point your child is mature, it may be only the wide world,” Google Translate assures me Brussee said. “The folks at Guerrilla are absolutely world class and can now only pick up further. ”

Brussee also recalled the highlights of his time with Guerrilla, adding “It has been a great ride. Every year there was something ambitious, new and inspiring to put my energy into. For me, I now want to find a new personal challenge, which I hope to find at EA HQ near SF,CA and who knows where this will take me next.” Visceral, an EA subsidiary known for the Dead Space series and Dante’s Inferno as well as movie tie-ins related to James Bond, the Simpsons and Lord of the Rings, will put Brussee to work on an as-yet unannounced game. As Guerilla has posted job listings in several European publications, Brussee’s departure does not appear indicate any problems behind the scenes, at least of a business nature.
