Guillermo del Toro’s “inSANE” Project Back in Development

After Guillermo Del Toro’s highly anticipated horror project, inSANE, was dropped by THQ this summer, the film director has signed the planned trilogy of games to a mystery development studio, a new report suggests.

According to film website Bloody Disgusting, del Toro is believed to have signed with another games studio to continue work on inSANE. The cancellation has delayed the project, which presently has a 2015 release date.

Del Toro has not personally confirmed a new deal, but was pitching the trilogy to various studios in October. He said:

“The game was cut months ago, and now we are talking to developers. When something doesn’t happen in one way, I just continue to pursue it in another way. I’m not giving up on inSANE, it’s truly beautiful.”

Del Toro revealed that his dream partner for the game would be Valve, being a huge fan of the company’s work.
