Does it ever bother you that although you may be a whiz at Guitar Hero you’re still no closer to picking up that Stratocaster and shredding riffs. Guitar Wizard aims to change all that by letting you take your electric or acoustic guitar and wire it to a PC via a midi interface.
You get started by placing decals on each fret and a computer attached pickup, similar to those used on electric guitars, under the body of your instrument. Notes and strumming scroll by on simulated tableture teaching you slowly how to read and play. The difficulty gets harder as you improve and will scale back if you’re having trouble keeping up.
The developer Music Wizard has already put out Piano Wizard and plans to release Guitar Wizard in August 2008.
This is a great idea. I’ll definitely have to buy this for my wife and daughter. If it works, it’s a great investment as well considering the cost of guitar lessons.
