Half-Hour of Dragon Age: Inquisition Gameplay Footage Leaked
Oh, hey there 30 minutes of Dragon Age: Inquisition gameplay footage. Don’t you look pretty.
Evidently BioWare was at the DigiExpo in Finland a couple weeks back, adding even more to the 13 minute live demo of Dragon Age: Inquisition they showed off at PAX Prime in September. Courtesy of an individual who decided to ignore the “no recording” rule at the hands-off demo, the Internet now has its hands on 31:41 worth of footage. Watch it for yourself below:
First reaction: Dragon Age: Inquisition is easy on the eyes, even in its far from finished alpha state. The art style is just a smidge cartoon, but it still has the realistic look I prefer. As far as the actual gameplay, I was turned off when, during the first bit of combat, the player simply ran forward and started hacking and slashing while his party kind of bumbled around him without direction. That’s why I was relieved when the devs delved into the tactical aspects of combat right around the 18 minute mark. It still doesn’t quite have that Dragon Age: Origins feel to it, but I’ll wait until I actually get to play Inquisition for myself before I label it an action game with unnecessary tactical features thrown in.
Hopefully, as we’ve outlined in the past, Inquisition will mark a return to BioWare’s roots.
