Half-Life Live Action Web Series Seeking Crowdfunding

Remember Enter the Freeman, the short Half-Life fan film released in late September 2012? It went viral, with fans clamoring for more — and the creators are looking to provide just that with The Freeman Chronicles, 40 minutes of video spread out over six episodes. But they need help.

With 58 days left to go, the creators have set up a crowdfunding project seeking $75,000. As with most crowd-funding projects, there are a variety of different perks to obtain depending on how much money you put forward to the cause, but pledging $100 will earn you Limited Special Edition BLU-RAYs and DVDs of the series, chock full of commentaries, interviews, VFX breakdowns, outtakes, deleted scenes, and exclusive alternate endings. Oh, and two raffle tickets to win the Gordon Freeman HEV suit they used in the shooting, which will become the only Halloween costume one very lucky person will ever wear again.

Check out the teaser trailer:

That Freeman just looks right. From the actor to the suit, I can’t imagine a more true-to-the game portrayal.
