Halo 3 Leaked to Internet

halo3masterchief-thumb.jpgFirst there were the copies of Bungie and Microsoft’s Halo 3 sold early by Argos. Then Microsoft threatened to ban anyone who possessed or played Halo 3 before the release date for life from Xbox Live. Now highly anticipated game has been leaked to the Internet and is already hosted on multiple file sharing sites.

The hacked 6.14G file is playable on illegally modified Xbox 360s and was uploaded in the last 24 hours.

The release of Halo 3 has been plagued with trouble form the early sales to the ending leaked to YouTube. The situation has been exacerbated by the supernaturally high levels of hype surrounding the title. I guess anyone that has no qualms about illegally modding their Xbox 360 should have no problem stealing the game, but I would think the Microsoft won’t be so forgiving as it has with the foul up at Argos.

While I certainly don’t condone what’s been done, Microsoft and Bungie have managed to create a “I gotta have it now!” fever pitch. This is the result of the hype they’ve generated.
