Halo 3 NASCAR Revs Up for Nextel Cup
On Tuesday, Shawn mentioned all of the promotional hoopla that surrounds the forthcoming Halo 3 release. As mentioned in his post, Microsoft, Target, Chip Ganassi Racing, and Felix Sabates have joined forces in “redecorating” driver David Stremme’s #40 Dodge Avenger. The NASCAR vehicle will display the Halo 3 logos for the Dover 400 Nextel Cup Series on Sunday, September 23.
“I’m honored and excited to be running the Halo 3 car at Dover and can’t wait to show off this awesome paint scheme,” said Stremme. “It’s going to be a special experience when the car rolls off the truck for the first time at Dover….. as a Halo fan, I’m thrilled.”
Also of note, on August 12th, Greg Biffle’s #16 Ford Fusion was sporting Wii graphics on his vehicle during the Centurion Boats at the Glen at Watkins Glen International, where he finished 10th .
Now comes the interesting part…… [insert dramatic theme music here] – Biffle’s Wii themed #16 Ford Fusion will participate in its final race at Dover on Sept. 23.
Should we anticipate a show-down between the Microsoft and Nintendo cars? Which begs the question: What would a NASCAR race be without a hint of drama added to the mix? That would be the only thing that would make me want to watch cars going round and round and round for hours on end (provided I was amped with liquor).
