Halo 3 Pros Can Grab Some Quick Cash at Halo 3 League

Why get a real job? If you’re good enough at Halo 3, you could be making more cash than hawking Twinkies at the Kwik-E-Mart.

Halo 3 League looks like it just started up play-for-cash tournaments for gamers good enough to take on opponents to win some money. Prizes range from $15 to $1100, and sign-up fees from $5 to $20. Obviously, the larger the cash pool the more competitors involved.

And for those others out there who just like to play for bragging rights, there are also tournaments with no money involved. But, really, if you’re going to do that, just troll for n00bs on Live and talk some smack.

How is this “Halo 3 league” any different from me inviting my friends over, gathering some cash from them for the tournament, and playing against them from the comfort of my home? If we wanted to hold a big enough tournament, we can just connect a couple of 360s together and go to town.

@ Daniel

These tournements allow much larger spectrum of players to come together and play. While your “friends” may range from 4-12 people, these tounry’s range from 100-250+ people. Along with sucha wide varried amount of player’s your skill will have a much larger spectrum. With your friends it’s limited.

This tourny is just a fail comparison to MLG. Halo3 League may provide gamers oppurtunitys but but fall short in omparison to the big name host such as MLG, VGL, and CAL among others.
