Hearthstone Bug Hinders Players Buying Naxxramas DLC

A bug is leading some users to be charged double for the second wing of Hearthstone’s Curse of Naxxramas DLC.

This issue was discovered last night following the release of the second wing in Europe. According to reports, some players have been unable access the new content after buying it while others have been charged twice or found themselves able to click the purchase button multiple times resulting in multiple charges. Blizzard, in response, has affirmed that it’s aware of the problem and is “investigating.”

“We are currently investigating the following issues affecting the new Hearthstone wing, the Plague Quarter,” said the company in a statement. “Some players are unable to access the new wing after purchase. Some players have been charged twice in order to access the new wing. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience while we work to resolve them.”

Hearthstone’s in-game shop was temporarily closed down in light of the problem. It has since been restored. The Plague Quarter content, in turn, is now available for $6.99 or 700 in-game gold. The entire Curse of Naxxramas release can alternatively be purchased for $24.99 with varying bundle deals available for players who already own portions of the DLC.
