Heavy Rain's Move Implementation Means You'll Probably Never Get any More DLC

heavyrain1-1Being the intensely negative person that I am, I’d say Heavy Rain, as a whole, was a failure. But it really shined in individual moments, and the Taxidermist DLC was a great example of that. So the news that the in-the-works DLC scenes for Heavy Rain will probably never be completed because the Quantic Dream team is updating the game to work with Move is disheartening, even though I do think Heavy Rain with Move will be pretty cool. Quotes after the jump.

This comes from a Eurogamer interview with Quantic Dream head David Cage, who also said this: “I understand Sony’s decision and it gave us the opportunity to explore new possibilities regarding controls. I am really proud of this Move edition and think it will surprise many gamers and show that Move can be used for things other than family entertainment. Now as a writer and director, would I have preferred to work on the three Chronicles I wrote? Guess.”

More: “The stories were very strong and would have been very surprising for all Heavy Rain fans. Sony wanted more AAA adult games to support the Move, and they thought that Heavy Rain was the perfect fit.”

Bummer.
