Help Edna and Harvey Breakout in this Strange Little Point and Click Game
When looking at the screens for Daedalic Entertainment’s new point and click adventure/fantasy game Edna and Harvey: The Breakout, you might think that this is going to be one twisted and weird game. You might actually be right for thinking that, but that is what makes this game look like it could be pretty darn fun.
In Edna and Harvey: The Breakout, Edna wakes up in the padded cell of an insane asylum with no memory of her past or how she ended up there. Only one thing is for certain: She has been wrongfully imprisoned and will have to escape. After all, she feels entirely sane – and her speaking stuffed toy bunny Harvey wholeheartedly agrees. Together they undertake a daring breakout attempt, meeting up with numerous oddball inmates, like the Man in the Bee’s Costume or Siamese twins Hoti and Moti. But Dr. Marcel, the sinister head of the institute, will do everything in his power to stop Edna. To find out what evil scheme is afoot, Edna must slowly regain her memories of the past.
Edna and Harvey brings back the good old days of adventure gaming, when animals were more articulate and 800×600 was considered high-definition. Backgrounds and characters are completely 2D and drawn by hand by a real person in a unique cartoon style. The game’s characters range from odd to genuinely crazy with puzzles, extensive dialogues and with more than 120 screens, gamers can hopefully look forward to an extraordinarily long gameplay experience.
An official North American release date for the game has yet to be announced so check back often for news on this truly insane looking game.
