Help Us Terrorize Mitch in Daylight on Twitch (UPDATE)
Update! Mitchell’s having some technical issues with the stream for some reason, so we’re rescheduling. Stay tuned over the next few days for when you can help us terrorize Mitch, because believe me, it’s definitely still happening.
First-person horror game Daylight has secret commands designed to let users watching the game on Twitch influence the action. So of course we’re making video producer and all-around non-fan of horror games Mitchell Saltzman play it.
Mitch is streaming Daylight on Twitch today at 6 p.m. Pacific / 9 p.m. Eastern, and that’s when you can jump in and try to scare him in-game. It works like this: Typing special, single words into the GameFront Twitch channel chat box can trigger in-game sounds and actions that will freak out Mitchell. The sounds are timed so it’s not quite possible to spam him, but it is possible to throw a few extra scary sound effects his way — and possibly much more.
I say “possibly” because we’re not quite sure what the command list is. Developer Zombie Studios and publisher Atlus USA haven’t shared with players the full list of words that will influence Daylight, so we have to figure them out for ourselves. And that’s why we need you — to figure out how to more effectively scare Mitchell.
To get you started, we’re pretty sure “scream” has some effect, and I suspect words like “footsteps,” “static” and possibly “ghost” may do something as well.
