Here’s What BioShock Would Look Like in Unreal Engine 4

BioShock may have come out in 2008, but the Art Deco conception of Rapture is still deeply embedded in many a mind of players, despite flashier titles having come and gone since.

But now you can get a look at a slightly prettier, updated version of BioShock, thanks to indie game developer Elijah Morris, who dropped some BioShock assets into Unreal Engine 4 and created a nifty trailer.

The video above shows a bit of a better-rendered underwater city, complete with Big Daddies and even a lounging splicer, taking a load off after a hard day of mutilating Little Sisters and his own face. Looks pretty great, gotta say.

Messing around creating a “what if” scenario for a future Rapture isn’t Morris’ only project. In fact, he’s the one-man development team known as Dark Shift Productions, and is currently working on a 3-D “exploration/atmospheric indie game” known as G.R.I.T. – The Past is Everything. Check out the trailer for it below, and follow Morris’ work on G.R.I.T. on its official website.
