Rejoice or gnash your teeth Heroes of Might and Magic fans – either way, it is coming to the MMO realm in the Spring of 2008. Ubisoft has revealed that the title will be Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms and will allow thousands of gamers to “lead gigantic armies against each other, master the trades or create legendary heroes,” a statement read.
Instead of requiring a download or installation, Kingdoms will be browser-based, and sessions can last anywhere from a few minutes to several hours, depending on how in depth the player want to get. Chief creative officer, Serge Hascoet, commented: “This is a new type of game for Ubisoft, one that allows you to jump into a rich and complex universe just with your Web browser. Heroes of Might and Magic Kingdoms will open a wide door to the Might and Magic universe, allowing players to immerse themselves within it unlike ever before.”
No details on how much subscriptions will cost or what different types of price packages will be available, but I am sure more announcements will be forthcoming between now and launch.

I don’t think HoMM will top Travian (http://www.travian.com)
