Hitman Sniper Challenge Is Insanely Popular, Apparently
Apparently, people are pretty excited about Hitman: Absolution, because the pre-order game Sniper Challenge is seing a HUGE amount of activity. MCV has brought our attention to comments from Hitman Absolution director Tore Blystad about the insane amount of time players are spending on the mode. “People are playing it a lot,” Blystad said. “I think the No.1 player in the world has clocked in hundreds of hours so far which is completely crazy, right? We’re very happy because that’s the essence of Hitman; it is made to be replayed.” He went on to add that “the scores have been ridiculous. The best one has 6.5m – how on earth did they do that?”
By having undiagnosed OCD, that’s how! But seriously, that’s a lot of people playing the game, so much so that the question of a stand alone version was raised. To that, Blystad said “Who knows? It turned out really well. If we can find a way to make it work then I guess we will.” Which is to say, maybe but probably not. Meanwhile, everything I’ve personally seen suggests Hitman: Absolution is going to be a ton of fun. No, I haven’t played Sniper Challenge, but what about you, o readers? Are you spending way too much time on it? Sound off in comments.
