Holy Crap: Terraria’s v1.1 Update Packs 222 New Items, Coming Dec. 1

Terraria, the side-scrolling 8-bit indie darling that’s a lot like Mojang’s Minecraft is getting a big update, kinda just like Minecraft just did.

Developer Re-Logic just released the full low-down about Terraria’s upcoming 1.1 patch on its blog, and it’s a doozy. Coming Dec. 1, the patch will include 222 new items. Guess what else? Because there’s more.

Yup, you’ll be able to get female characters in the game, battle some 39 new kinds of monsters, make new kinds of armors out of new kinds of ores, play with lots of new combinations because of all the new ores, and enjoy a new lighting system. Hooray!

Also, there’s a new boss called The Wall of Flesh. Eww.

Check out the trailer for the patch, which Re-Logic reckons will completely change the game, below.
