It’s funny to think about how things would have played out if things were the same as a year ago. With Microsoft, Moore would’ve either dismissed Home after seeing another delay or politely talked about how he’s interested in trying it. Instead, he’s now publicly voiced his disappointment as he seems very excited about the prospect of EA Sports taking advantage of Sony’s online hub.
When asked about the possibility of using Home, Moore told Eurogamer, “Yeah; I just wish it would ship. I [previously] questioned it a little bit, whether I’d want to wander around there. Phil Harrison showed me a demo – it’s very cool, but let’s go already. And so I’m disappointed that it’s been pushed back a little bit again.
“But I really hope it gets going and becomes that portal to the PlayStation Network and we can utilise it. But boy, I just wish we’d get going.”
I think a lot of PlayStation 3 gamers that are looking forward to Home (myself included) share that sentiment. 10-year life cycle or not, let’s get moving, Sony.

Wait, they want the PS3 to last 10 years? Seriously?

Why not? The PS1 was on sale for 11 years and the PS2 has so far been on sale for 8 years.

Yeah because it makes a great 10 year Blu-Ray player…..just don’t expect to be playing games on it for 10 years…..especially since they took out backward compatibility.

What are you questioning? The fact that the PS3 will make a great 10 year Blu-Ray player….it will that will be all that it will useful for at my house for 10 years…..I sure as hell don’t see enough exclusive games on the horizon to keep me gaming on it for that long…..especiallly since they removed backward compatibility. That means I have to keep my PS2 in my entertainment center to play older games if I want….which is crap….thanks Sony for cluttering up my entertainment center…
If you were questioning the fact that the Marlins now have the best record in baseball they do…..check the standings as of today. The Marlins are 23-14 with a .622 winning percentage and the next closest team, the Red Sox are 24-16 with a .600 winning percentage. Meaning the Marlins are currently the best team in baseball…..w00t!!!!
Go Marlins!!!!
