Homefront Gets New DLC

Even though developers Kaos Studios are now defunct, THQ is rolling out new Homefront DLC this summer, in the form of a new map pack. They are keen, no doubt, to satiate their hordes of multiplayer fans. It seems unlikely, despite THQ’s optimism, that Homefront is anything other than a fly on the rump of Black Op’s triumphant FPS steed, but the publisher is providing four new maps, for 400 MS points, including an Alcatraz map that gives the DLC it’s name: The Rock

Homefront’s singleplayer was short and unsatisfying to most, so it makes sense that downloadable offerings are focused on the fragging. Ginning up a digital recreation of Alcatraz was also a smart move — everybody loves Alcatraz. Look for “The Rock” later this summer, first on Xbox LIVE, then eventually on PSN as well.
