How to Make Rage Look Good With An NVIDIA GPU

Rage uses an auto-balancer to determine your graphical settings, but even if you’e got a high end machine you might end up with textures that look like this:

The experts at NVIDIA, though, want to help you force the game to not look like that by editing some files and whatnot until they make it possible to change setting in-game with a patch. I don’t know enough about this stuff to feel comfortable trying to summarize, so what I’m going to do is refer you to their tweak page over at geforce.com. Go there, learn things, put things into action.
