Hunter, Hunted Mode Added to Batman: Arkham Origins
Personally, I’d rather be the hunter (Batman) than the hunted (Gotham goons), but we’ll be able to take on both roles in the just released new multiplayer mode for Batman: Arkham Origins.
It’s called Hunter, Hunted, and in a surprising move, Warner Bros. Interactive has added it to the existing game free of charge. Yep, there are already four different paid DLC packs available for Bats, ranging from skins to challenge maps, and evidently Warners grew tired of milking fans. It’s a Christmas miracle!
Hunter, Hunted is a seven-player mode with three teams — a slightly different spin on the existing eight player, three team deathmatch in Origins. One team of three is Bane thugs, the second team of three is made up of Joker goons, and the third team is the Dark Knight all by his lonesome (no Robin to watch his back this time). The goal? Be the last man standing, which will be more difficult than it sounds because there are no respawns.
Hmm. No further details on Hunter, Hunted, and I’m curious if, like in the standard multiplayer mode, the Banes and Jokers will be able to summon and play as their bosses. In any case, Warners says the new mode will provide better rewards than the existing multiplayer, and it hopes to entice Bat fans to try out Hunter, Hunted with a double credits event that begins tomorrow at 6 p.m. Eastern.
