The days of the “garage band” game development company may be numbered. IAC/InterActiveCorp has announced it has bought majority shares in developer GamesGarage best known for its Torque Game Engine. IAC has created a new Web-based video-game network, InstantAction.com.
IAC is controlled by media veteran and Web investor Barry Diller. Gamers can look forward to an announcement in the next few weeks detailing InstantAction.com’s plans for original games.
